Handwork ClubTM

Today, we live in a smart phone, ‘click of a button’ instant gratification world. As such, life offers very few opportunities  for children and adults to be creative in their play or work. We miss the joy and sense of achievement that comes with creating something beautiful from scratch; something that bears your individual uniqueness in the effort you have put into it.

The Handwork ClubTM is a membership based initiative to bring children together from across the world to create beautiful handwork items igniting that inner creativity in each of them to make something magical and unique. Subscription is annual or pay as you go; and as a member of the club, every month children will make a precious handwork project guided by myself (for offline subscription) or with step by step tutorials (online subscription) that they follow at their own pace which parents can assist with.
Currently  I offer physical offline classes on weekends, so if you are in Mumbai with a child in age group 8 to 13 yrs please fill in the subscription details below and join us.

Rudolf Steiner, when speaking of handwork in the Waldorf school curriculum, said that it offered the opportunity to the child to develop form, and learn that life was flexible and not innately rigid. Through needlework, woodwork, clay modelling, stone sculpting, children would have gumption and  be able to stand more secure with a basic confidence to manage the practicalities of everyday life and not loose confidence and become disoriented at the first hurdle life presented.
