Welcome to our little shop!
On this page you will find a mix of DIY Kits, workshops and ready toys and story kits. I started ‘Magic Playhouse’ because of my biblical ‘Story in a Bag’™ kits and over the years they have been quite successful with the 4 to 7 age group so I encourage you to give them a try. I believe most parents choose to introduce religion to the children during the early years itself and I feel the children can get quite scared. So I try to introduce the religious stories in a gentle way through ‘Story in a Bag’™.
The rest of what you will find here is patterns, tutorials, festive decorations, handwork kits and in-person online workshops to equip parents to make different toys and things for their children. You will also find Handwork patterns that are not part of the handwork club membership. I genuinely believe that simple toys we make ourselves for our children do much more for them in terms of love and warmth – it is true nourishment for their souls.
It is an expectation of all of us in our current way of life to receive instant gratification at the click of a button. However, my full-time job is that of being a mum to my 8 year old, and so ‘Magic Playhouse’ has to navigate through my schedule with her. Since all the ‘Story in a Bag’™ kits are handmade by me, they can take up to 3-4 weeks to create once the order is placed.
At the moment, all our friends who would like to ship within India, can place an order directly on the website. International friends can place an order by writing to me at info@magicplayhouse.in as delivery charges are city/country specific.
